Before a ceremony or retreat
A confidential, thoughtful process for prospective participants in our ayahuasca ceremonies and retreats in Maui, Hawaii.
Before confirming a reservation, every prospective participant completes a confidential screening process designed to determine whether our retreat or ceremony weekend is an appropriate fit. Your safety and well-being are our highest priorities.
What screening includes
Final approval
Participation is confirmed only after the screening is complete and both you and the facilitators agree that the retreat or ceremony appears to be an appropriate fit.
Eligibility considerations
For everyone's safety, we may be unable to accept participants with certain medical or psychological conditions. Every application is reviewed individually, and additional conditions may affect eligibility.
Medication decisions should always be made with the prescribing clinician. Do not stop, start, or change prescribed medication without their guidance.
Our approach
Our goal is not to exclude people unnecessarily, but to create the safest possible environment for everyone involved. If we believe participation may present an elevated risk, we may recommend postponing attendance or seeking guidance from a qualified healthcare professional before applying again.
Participation in an ayahuasca ceremony is always voluntary. Acceptance is based on our assessment of whether the retreat or ceremony is an appropriate fit at that time.
Schedule a brief conversation to ask questions, share where you are in your journey, and learn more about the process.
